Hello Friends! Since a long time I was thinking to write a
new blog and finally it happened today. This is my first blog and I have
started with the current updates on Google Adwords.
Paid Ads on Google has been the first choice for most of the
marketers to advertise their products and services. Google Adwords provide the
best platform to do this. There are different Adwords campaigns and advanced
settings in each of them. The most important is how your ads are shown and
which ads are selected. Here comes the Ad Rotation setting in picture.
Ad Rotation
Correct selection of Ad Rotation can help you to show your
ads to the accurate audience who are looking for your products, services or the
offers. It depends on the selection of ad rotation that how ads are shown and it
will be effective for your business. Google Adwords is going to make a change
in the Ad Rotation setting in late September of this year. The ad rotation will
be simplified in two types
“Optimize” and “Rotate Indefinitely”
Optimize for your
best ads
If you are selecting Optimize settings then it will
prioritize ads that are expected to perform better as compared to the other ads
within the same ad group. By selecting this option your ads will be optimized
for more clicks from each auction using signals like keywords, search terms,
device, location, etc.
Optimized ad rotation with three of more ads per ad groups
can increase in performance for both clicks and impressions. The more number of
ads the Google Adwords system can choose, the better the ad performance will
be.
Smart Bidding would be the best option for tailor your bids
and increase your conversions. If you are using smart bidding then Google
Adwords itself will select optimize ad rotation.
Rotate Indefinitely
It has been seen that most of the users Optimize Ads works
best and it is good option. But if you are looking to get good control on your
ad rotation then you can show your ads evenly with “rotate indefinitely” option
which is already available.
Note: Ad rotation
settings and feature will be available at the ad group level to give you more
control over your ad group. Thus you will be able to use multiple ad rotation
options in a single campaign.

Adwords Help Center.

Hi Kishan,
ReplyDeleteThanks for the clear update. I have a question on the setting Rotate Evenly.
Will Google show the ads 50/50 at random or will they use machine learning to determine what ad to show to which user+query.
Regards,
Naresh Singh.
In rotate evenly settings your ads will be shown more times in the auction. In this settings your ads with let CTR and Low conversion rate will be shown more often.
DeleteIf you have made changes in the existing ads or have added new ads to your adgroup then your ads will be optimized for 90 days and then after it will be automatically optimized for clicks or conversions(only if you are using Target CPS bidding).
